The following is a list of the primary services offered by the Walker-Davis Studio
Custom wall and ceiling murals
Decorative panels
Faux finishing
Decorative furniture painting and finishing
Color and design consultation
In the case of large wall murals, the artwork is most often painted in the studio onto thin canvas and applied to the desired surface like a wallcovering. This may also be the case for ceiling art, though usually that is judged on an individual basis, depending on the size and height of the ceiling. Faux finishing is most often done on site unless it is to be done on furniture or fixtures that can be easily transported. Decorative panels (such as the Arabesque panels shown in our Image Gallery , a particular specialty of ours) are always painted in the studio.
How we work:
The process begins by arranging an initial meeting with the client to discuss their needs and ideas concerning the artwork or project they have in mind. Approximate costs, time frames, etc. are also determined at this time. (Clients can also submit ideas and specifications via email). Once the scope and subject matter of the project is determined, we will provide a proposal describing in detail the work to be done and the overall costs involved. If the client wishes to continue, we will at this point request an initial down payment to begin the design process, which can and will be refunded should the client change their mind before work on the project commences.
The design process consists of the Walker-Davis Studio providing sketches or maquettes for the client's approval. Once the client approves a design or designs, then work on the actual artwork begins. The client is kept abreast of progress during the execution process, and is most welcome to add their input at any time. Communication is key during this phase.
Once the work has been delivered, installed, and approved, final payment from the client is due. Our work is fully guaranteed.
Color and design consultations are billed at an hourly rate to be determined once the type and extent of the consulting work to be done is determined.
